Activities

In addition to our primary business, we are also involved in or plan to set up the following activities which complement our primary work and in line with our Vision.

Sponsorship
We will put the resources of The Christian Outlook, and collective skills of its members, at the disposal of Christian organisations who need help in carrying on the work of propagating the message of Jesus Christ on the internet. These include free web hosting, free web setup and basic design, free scripts installation to enhance websites and free html authoring.

Seminars, Conferences & Training Programmes
The Christian Outlook conducts, as well as sponsors seminars, conferences and training programmes. Topics cover a wide base including Bible teachings, various aspects of business operations and other relevant issues for the Church and community. The strategy for achieving this includes: (a) searching out suitable venues to cater for small and large groups; (b) establishing and maintaining contact with various speakers on a wide range of subjects; and (c) making sure there is good denominational mix throughout the choice of programmes.

Charitable Donations
We aim to support the needy in a practical manner prayerfully and financially. Certain charities have been identified contacted who work in the areas and with people we would like to help. Our strategy here is to continually re-commit ourselves to the ones we have chosen and establish how regularly we will give and when we will have specific prayer times for them. We will also keep proper records of what we give and when.

Telephone Prayer Line
A telephone prayer line will be conducted which, in time, will become a fully operational counselling service with trained prayerful counsellors. We will regularly call for volunteers to do this. We will also set up Freephone numbers for this activity to encourage people to call.

Prayer Stations
Prayer Stations will be set up at strategic places where the public will pass and have the opportunity to stop, enquire about our faith and be prayed for. A “Follow-Up” service will also be run without imposing on those individuals who have made enquiries. Each Prayer Station will be manned by either two or three people, depending on location, with leaflets, booklets and address cards of local Fellowships. We will therefore need to liaise closely with the local assemblies and know that they preach the Word of God in order that we may direct individuals to their churches for further information in the faith. We will identify churches and fellowships in the areas where we plan to set up, asking for their church information and requesting literature.

Contact With Government
We will make and maintain contact with local MPs from all parties with a view to presenting issues through them to Parliament. We will also attend government-sponsored activities including conferences, exhibitions, etc.
