About

Our primary activity is to publish The Christian Outlook on the internet.

The Christian Outlook is a non-denominational Christian online newspaper, free and provides news, features, articles and contributions on Christianity globally. It is also distributed in any other media that would help promote our work. We also maintain forums for online interaction among Christians and between Christians and non-Christians.

Background
The Christian Outlook was set up in February 1998 as non-denominational newspaper, published by Oriona, out of the need to cut through the barriers of denominational segregation that exists so much in the Body of Christ today. It was also to be used as an instrument in giving hope to both the saved and unsaved in our communities. It was then called Revelation with Maxine Chantel as its first Editor. The name was later changed to The Christian Outlook after publishing six editions of Revelation.

One edition of The Christian Outlook was published in July 1999 and subsequent editions could not be followed up. The reason was that the entire operation of the newspaper was solely financed by the then Editor, Marjorielyn R Campbell, and myself including production and distribution. This placed a considerable strain on our personal finances, thus the need to review the whole system.

We decided, after extensive consultations, to publish The Christian Outlook on the Internet and publicise this fact so that people can still find us. Although this may not be the ideal situation, this strategy ensures that we do not die and fade away. The first online edition was published in February 2001.

Funding
The activities of The Christian Outlook are funded primarily by subsidies from Onye Akpala, the publisher.
